Airport arrival and first day home

Richard and Anastasiya had a nice welcome to America greeting by many special friends.  The kids and I made a welcome home poster and had some flowers for Anastasiya.  Several friends brought stuffed animals for her and Barbara brought flowers as well.  It was great to hear the applause and the cheers when they finally exited immigration.  We did some school shopping today and the kids had fun teaching her games on the Wii. She was skipping in the house and humming a happy tune earlier in the day - I guess that means she was happy! We can’t thank all of you enough for your love and support.  Your continued prayers for our transition are appreciated. We will let you know how things go the rest of the week.

  2. Welcome Home Anastasiya! Welcome back home Richard! We are so sorry we could not be there to greet you at the airport - but you have been in our thoughts and prayers (and will continue to be as she transitions into her new forever family)! We are so happy that you are home safely!

    Looking forward to meeting Anastasiya,
    Twyla, John, and the kids

  3. So glad to know you all made it home. Debra and I are happy for you. Now you can all be a family. Our 10 day waiting period ends tomorrow! We are so excited. We hope to be home soon. FYI, Debra's computer hard drive is having issues and is about to crash. That is why our blog has not been updated. We are still writing just can't always upload. Anyway, good luck with the new family.
